Blueprint for the Future
“Time in our ancient land of Rajasthan”, says Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar, “is not measured in years but in generations and eras. Embracing 'change' and 'adaptation' are the challenges that every generation has to face.”
“I like to use the word contemporary,” says Shriji, adding, “the real challenge for us is to become and remain contemporary. We have to move with the times yet we have to remain true to our own heritage. Our own legacy has to be carried into the future without losing its key defining traditions. This process has its own hidden challenges.”

Heritage Conservation – Long Term Commitment
Under the aegis of Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation (MMCF), Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar is committed to the long-term conservation and maintenance of The City Palace Complex, Udaipur.
Considering the vastness of this historic complex, the Foundation requires continuous funds and is seeking collaboration with national and international grant-makers towards this aim.

Mewar Solar Cell
In 1992, Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar inspired research that led to the development of solar power as a source of passive energy for transportation systems in and around Udaipur. In 1995, solar-powered boats were introduced on Udaipur’s Lake Pichola for the first time. It marked the first commercial application of solar energy for boating.
By 2003, six prototype rickshaws, and one electric motor-cycle, had been built. Presently, prototypes of solar vehicles are on display at The Vintage and Classic Car Collection, Garden Hotel, Udaipur.

Knowledge & Education – Investing in our tomorrow
